End of Life Options: A panel discussion of New York’s Medical Aid In Dying Act

A public forum on end of life choices at Brooklyn Borough Hall featuring Compassion & Choices NY Campaign Director Corinne Carey, Palliative Care physician Dr. David Pratt, Lindsay Wright, wife of former NYU professor Youssef Cohen and Reverend Dr. Johnnie Green Jr., Senior Pastor at Mount Neboh Baptist Church.  During the forum New York’s pending Medical Aid in Dying Act will be discussed as well.  Medical Aid in Dying is legislation that would allow a terminally ill adult who is mentally capable to ask their doctor for a prescription for medication that they can take on their own at a time of their choosing should suffering become unbearable.
