There will be Blood

January 26 @ 7:30 pm - February 6 @ 7:30 pm

In 2004, comedian Dave Hill began posing online as a teenager from Gary, Indiana

Named Lance, the self-proclaimed “King of Black Metal” and sole member of the fictional black metal band Witch Taint in an attempt to get himself signed to a Norwegian Black Metal record label on the strength of one excruciatingly bad “song.” The email exchanges between Dave/Lance and the Norwegian Black Metal record label owner (now found at www.theblackmetaldialogues.com) are now the stuff of legend in the metal community and beyond.  People as far as Norway buy Witch Taint t-shirts on the regular, which Dave is super pumped about.

Dave and his friend, musician Phil Costello (Satanicide,

Diamondsnake, Tragedy) will stage the first ever live reading of the aforementioned emails, complete with corpse paint, ill-fitting black clothing, and- if all goes as planned- a live and mildly irritated goat. There will also be a live performance by Witch Taint for the first and possibly last time ever. This promises to be the most extreme and kvlt thing that has ever happened ever and most people won’t be able to handle it. So there.
