Soap Making Workshop

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make soap at home using a simple cold-process method and materials from your pantry. You will leave with tons of useful knowledge to keep making soap at home, along with a few sample-sized bars of orange olive oil soap that you helped make yourself in class! The soap made in this class is made from lye and vegetable oils.  (class size: 12, all materials provided!)

Intro to Watercolor (Park Slope)

Every 2 weeks on Thursday until January 3, 2019

In this two-hour workshop, students will learn basic watercolor techniques.  We’ll then complete a series of watercolor paintings using these techniques. Techniques such a dry brush and wet into wet will be demonstrated by our teacher, followed by ample time for students to experiment with the materials and techniques on their own. We’ll also demonstrate how to set up a drawing from life, from set up and sketching and how to structure your painting. Feel free to bring inspirational images for your watercolors. All materials provided and no experience with watercolors in necessary
